My Name is Diane Rushton and I have been teaching at Calahan since 1996. Throughout my teaching career I have taught Mommy & Me classes, preschool, kindergarten and second grade. I have 2 wonderful sons who are married and I am the proud grandma of 3 precious little ones.

I am very excited to be sharing with you in the joys of your child's first year of elementary school. It is such a momentous year where everything is new and novel, and together we are creating the foundation for your child to be an enthusiastic lifelong learner.
I am passionate about reading and therefore, I love that as a kindergarten teacher, I have the privilege of helping your child unlock "the code" and learn how to read.
