CALAHAN'S ANNUAL OLYMPICS

Let the Games Begin! A favorite tradition is Calahan's Annual Olympics Day. Led by our amazing Olympic Committee Chairs, Coach Rey and Ms. Ismail, and supported by the staff, volunteers, parents, and students, the Calahan Olympics is a full day of fun and excitement.

Go for the Gold! Every child is an Olympian at the Calahan Games. The Olympics take place on the final Friday of the school year. Every grade level represents a country. A color is also assigned to each grade level, which represents specific traits and attributes. (T-Shirts are on sale two weeks prior to the Olympic Games). Each classroom designs a flag (and selects a flag bearer) to be presented at the Opening Ceremony.

Swifter, Higher, Stronger! Parents are always welcome to come cheer for their child and to enjoy a picnic lunch in the amphitheater. Thank you to all those who make the Olympics possible!

During set rotations, first, second, and third place medals are awarded for each event in every grade level. Students are called to stand on the medal podiums as their friends and classmates cheer them on. It is a day to celebrate comaraderie and good sportsmanship!
